01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Zack is a two-way player on the mound plus at 1B with a lean frame that shows projection as he continues to fill out. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag with a soft, sure glove action. Throws show carry and accuracy as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Offensively, Reser shows a solid approach with proper weight transfer with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. He has a hitch in his swing and needs work on hitting top half of baseball. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 80-83 mph with cutting action. Off speed pitches are solid average, flashing potential to be quality pitches at the next level. He attacks hitters as he throws strikes with all his pitches through a solid delivery. Zack has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
