02/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Monticello, IA Zackary is a C/2B prospect who will graduate in 2022. Behind the plate, Zackary shows efficient footwork and centers the ball when blocking. He sits in a square stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line to the 2B bag. At 2B, Zackary shows proper footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making on-line throws through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Overall, Zackary is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
